MANILA - Actress Vina Morales insisted that she and her family have been a victim of bullying from her former boyfriend, businessman Cedric Lee.

Morales, 40, was speaking to reporters after attending a court hearing where she sought to temporarily suspend Lee's visitation rights for their daughter, Ceana.

She maintained that Lee had "forcibly detained" their daughter for nine days and broke a court-approved agreement.

"Alam mo iyong tao na ayaw mang-away, iyong hindi mahilig mang-away. Matapang ako pero ayaw ko ng away. Pero alam mo iyong taong binu-bully ka araw-araw. Matututo kang lumaban eh," an emotional Morales warned.

During her interview, Morales bared Lee's "bullying tactics," and claimed that in 2013, Lee framed charges against her household help and threatened to have her arrested if he was not granted visitation rights for Ceana.

Morales, who broke up with Lee in 2009, also alleged that there was an instance where Lee's driver went to Ceana's school and punched her household help in the face. There was no video evidence of the incident, however, Morales admitted.

"Takot na takot kami noon," she said.

Morales, adamant that she has sole custody over Ceana, said that she was forced to cave in and allowed Lee to see their daughter every Saturday. She is now seeking for the court to rescind the decision.

"I am praying na sana madinig na ng korte iyong complaint ko. I'm praying for the best," she said.

Morales shared that Ceana had been "traumatized" by her father, citing a conversation she had with her daughter. She said that Ceana told her that she was afraid to be left alone near a restaurant where Lee had been taking her to.

In a statement released by Lee through Pep, he denied Morales' allegations and claimed that her former girlfriend owed him 10 days with Ceana. He also dismissed the "bullying" claims.

"It is also not in my nature to say negative things about the mother of my child to protect my child's reputation. I, however, find her statements damaging," Lee said.

The court has given Lee and his camp five days to answer Morales' complaint, and has temporarily suspended Lee's visitation rights.

Lee's lawyer, Atty. Ricardo Moreno, refused to comment on the matter, saying that his client will answer the allegations in court.

Cedric Lee's legal woes

Lee and several others were accused of blindfolding and attacking "It's Showtime" host Vhong Navarro inside the condominium unit of model Deniece Cornejo at Forbeswood Heights in Taguig City in 2013.

The Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 153 has junked Navarro's bid to reverse an earlier ruling allowing Lee to post bail in connection with the serious illegal detention case filed by the television host.

The court, however, said the case is far from over as Navarro and his legal counsel can present evidence to support their claims.

Lee was also tagged in the allegedly unlawful release of P23 million and P14 million for the Mariveles, Bataan public market project, which was never constructed. He has since pleaded not guilty to graft and malversation of public funds.
