MANILA - Businessman Cedric Lee has dismissed the allegations of his former girlfriend, actress Vina Morales, that he kept their daughter "forcibly detained" for nine days last month.

Lee also denied that he violated their court-approved visitation rights. He added that he and Morales agreed that their daughter, Ceana, can spend a few nights with him during summer holidays.

"It is also not in my nature to say negative things about the mother of my child to protect my child's reputation. I, however, find her statements damaging," Lee told Pep.

Morales earlier claimed in a message sent to Pep that Lee can only visit their daughter on Saturdays. Her camp filed a complaint against Lee at the San Juan City Prosecutor's Office last Friday, saying her husband violated their visitation agreement.

She also alleged that Lee had been "bullying" her and her family in connection with Ceana --a claim that Lee challenged.

"There has been violations the court has recorded regarding times when I wasn't able to see my daughter. Prior to me spending time with Ceana, the court has noted that Vina owes me 10 days," Lee said.

"During the eight days I was with Ceana, my lawyers were constantly in touch with her lawyer and family. They knew when I was going to take my daughter home," he said.

"Ceana was not traumatized while with me and spent time with her siblings and family. We have photos and videos during this time."

Lee added that her daughter may have been "traumatized".

According to Morales, their daughter was taken to court last May 24 and was handed to her family, which included her sister, actress Shaina Magdayao.

"My daughter is not aware of the court case we have," Lee shared. "This may have traumatized her as she did not know what was going on."

"I have never bullied Vina and have gone through the right avenue. I believe my child has a right to have both her father and mother in her life. I did not say anything in media when I was not able to see my daughter for a year."

"This has gotten out of hand and I sure hope that we can both iron out differences in the near future," Lee said.

Morales split with Lee in 2009, around the time she was pregnant with Ceana. She admitted remaining in contact with Lee for the sake of their daughter.

Morales is back from her vacation abroad with her boyfriend, Marc Lambert. She is set to appear at a court hearing on Wednesday regarding the complaint she filed against Lee.

Cedric Lee's legal woes

Lee and several others were accused of blindfolding and attacking "It's Showtime" host Vhong Navarro inside condominium unit of model Deniece Cornejo at Forbeswood Heights in Taguig City in 2013.

The Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 153 has junked Navarro's bid to reverse an earlier ruling allowing Lee to post bail in connection with the serious illegal detention case filed by the television host.

The court, however, said the case is far from over as Navarro and his legal counsel can present evidence to support their claims.

Lee was also tagged in the allegedly unlawful release of P23 million and P14 million for the Mariveles, Bataan public market project, which was never constructed. He has since pleaded not guilty to graft and malversation of public funds.
