Angeline Quinto on Thursday challenged accusers to provide proof of a circulating rumor that she supposedly mocked the recent emotional breakdown of Sarah Geronimo, her former competitor and now-"ASAP" co-star, and took head-on insults hurled at her by so-called fans of the "Kilometro" hitmaker.

Quinto, 28, took to Twitter to address the accusations, among them that she and fellow singer Morissette Amon, Geronimo's former "The Voice" ward, laughed while watching clips of the pop star's onstage breakdown, and that they called her "pabebe." Also according to Quinto's series of tweets, the rumor supposedly started from "a staff member" of ABS-CBN.

"Popsters," Quinto wrote in a tweet addresing the loyal fans of Geronimo, "napakalaki ng respeto ko kay Sarah Geronimo. Napakalaki ng respeto ko sa mga supporters niya. Nakikiusap ako, ilabas niyo ang video, iharap niyo sa akin ang taong sinasabi niyo na staff ng ABS-CBN. Nakikiusap ako sa inyo, Popsters. Ngayon lang ako makikiusap sa inyo."

In a succeeding tweet, Quinto pointed out that she only learned of what happened to Geronimo on Monday, and not on Sunday when the weekly "ASAP" episode is telecast live. Quinto, Morissette, and Geronimo are regular performers of that show.

Quinto was apparently referring to the fact, that if she and Morissette were indeed seen making fun of Geronimo, it would have been on the sidelines of "ASAP." Even then, at the time, she hadn't yet heard about the emotional episode of Geronimo.

She went on to repeat her plea to show her the supposed video evidence of the accusation. Quinto also came to the defense of Morissette, who has yet to speak up as of writing. "Huwag naman ganun. Hindi tama 'yan," she wrote.

Apparently getting wind of insulting words targeted at her in the rumor's wake, Quinto told Geronimo's fans that she will continue to respect them, out of her respect for their idol. The "Birit Queen" even enumerated some of the harsh words she has received: "Hindi nakapag solo concert na sold-out," "Tomboy," "Hindi sikat," and "Magnanakaw."

Concluding her series of tweets, Quinto thanked some fans of Geronimo who messaged her privately to apologize, and called on other "Popsters" to instead direct their attention to the welfare of the performer. Thanking her own supporters, Quinto ended, "Respeto lang sa bawat isa."
