MANILA -- Just months after they called it quits, Jake Cuenca met up with his " favorite person in the world," former girlfriend Sara Grace Kelly, during his trip to New York.

On Monday, Cuenca posted a photo of him and Kelly on his Instagram account.

"Thank you so much for spending time with me here in the city. The circumstances have changed but you are still the only person who can make me smile the way that you do, the only person I know who can make my heart skip a beat. We might not be together anymore but our friendship will last forever," Cuenca said.

The actor stressed that he will always love Kelly and vowed to be there whenever she needs him.

"I will always love you Unconditionally. there will always be a special place for you in my heart. Because you for me? You are the most amazing person I have ever met beautiful inside and out. I will always be here to support you and your dreams and I would still drop everything just to be with you when you need me. I don't know when or where I'll see you again the uncertainty scares me. But one thing for sure is that this isn't goodbye it's see you later," Cuenca wrote in the caption.

In a previous interview, Cuenca said Kelly is "the one" for him even if it was she who broke up with him after one year of being together.

Cuenca stressed that he fought for their relationship but conceded that he needs to respect her decision.

Before leaving for New York, Cuenca had hoped to win back Kelly's heart.

After his US trip, Cuenca will be doing a new series, as well as a movie with his "Pasion de Amor" co-stars Ejay Falcon and Joseph Marco.
