MANILA -- It was just last month when Erich Gonzales described her relationship status as "single but not available."

But speaking to ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe on Wednesday, it sounds like she's starting to open up her heart once more.

The "The Blood Sisters" star confirmed that she has a non-showbiz suitor and that they went to Japan together last month.

"Unang una ay wala naman po tayong itinatago," she claimed, before adding: "Ako, single po ako and he's single also."

She didn't name the man but revealed that he is the brother of Claudia Barretto's boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo.

She shared that they went to Japan this February after being invited to visit her sister's art exhibit.

She did not document on Instagram the short "two-day" trip, but her hawk-eyed fans were able to find a photo, taken February 23, of her with the guy, identified as Mateo Lorenzo.

Prior to their Japan trip, Gonzales, who broke up with her longtime boyfriend Daniel Matsunaga last year, was quoted to have said that she's "single but not available" in an interview.

She explained that she "was not ready" and that she would rather focus on all the good things happening in her life right now.

Gonzales is currently the lead star of the ongoing primetime drama, "The Blood Sisters."
