MANILA - Angel Locsin is recovering after undergoing a neck procedure in connection with the disc bulge found in her spine, which forced her to give up the role of Darna.

On Instagram on Saturday, the 30-year-old Locsin shared that the medical procedure she underwent while in Singapore was a success.

She posted a photo of her before the operation with the caption: "Pre-op pic. Now in the recovery room.. Thanks for the prayers!"

This is the second time the actress flew to the Southeast Asian country for treatment. Last December 4, the "Everything About Her" star shared that she successfully underwent the first stage of neuro-spine surgery.

In a press conference held last January 30, Locsin downplayed talks about the possibility of her being recast as Darna following the series of operations.

"Ang priority ko po kasi talaga ay magpagaling. May kaunting usap-usap pero ang kailangan lang po talagang mangyari ay maging successful po 'yung operation at walang mangyayaring masama after that. So iyon lang po ang iniisip ko," she said.
