MANILA – For the first time, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach openly talked about her stint as a guest judge in the upcoming cycle of the “Asia’s Next Top Model.”

Wurtzbach said the reason she can’t be part of the show for its entire run is because of her responsibilities as the reigning Miss Universe.

“Of course, the priority is Miss Universe. It just so happened that we started working on the show na medyo palapit na 'yung pageant. I have to prioritize 'yung Miss Universe and that’s why my role in 'Asia’s Next Top Model' is not what others expected,” she explained on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" on Monday.

Nonetheless, Wurtzbach said she is glad to have been chosen to be a part of the show.

“I was fortunate enough to work with the show even though I didn’t have a lot of time with them. We’ll see how it is. I am excited watch the episodes which I’m part of. I am also looking forward to whatever shows I will be working on after,” she said.

Rumors about Wurtzbach's appearance on the popular competition first surfaced back in September after she was photographed filming with the other judges.

It remains unclear how many episodes Wurtzbach will appear in.

The Filipina beauty queen will join celebrity photographer-director Yu Tsai and supermodel Cara G. McIlroy on the panel, with Thai-American model Cindy Bishop as the show's host.

Aside from the “Asia’s Next Top Model,” Wurtzbach said she has a lot of other things that she will work on after her reign although she can’t reveal any of it just yet.
