The World Boxing Organization wants its top contenders, Donnie Nietes and Aston Palicte, to dispute the vacant super-flyweight championship, setting up what could be the second world-title bout between 2 Filipinos this year.

According to a letter dated Monday and written by a WBO official to Michael Aldeguer, whose ALA Promotions handles Nietes, Aldeguer and Palicte's RJJ Promotions have 10 days to finalize details of the bout.

Nietes, who turns 36 on May 13, vacated his world-flyweight title to move up to the 115-pounds division.

This will be the first time Palicte, 27, will figure in a world-championship bout.
