The Pasay police said Tuesday it was investigating the alleged disappearance of 9 youths in the city.

The 8 men and one woman aged 18 to 23 allegedly went missing November 20 and 22, said Pasay police chief Col. Bernard Yang, quoting the youngster's relatives, some of whom reported the incident on social media.

"Meron po tayong mga lead na sinusundan para ma-identify kung sino po ang kumuha sa mga ito at malaman natin kung ano ang dahilan," he told radio DZMM.

Police already have the plate number of a van that was allegedly used in the abduction of one of the victims, Yang said.

Authorities are also examining surveillance videos and seeking help from service providers to locate the cellphones of the group.

The relatives of 4 of the victims have yet to report to the police, said Yang, who declined to give more background about the missing youths.
