SILANG, Cavite - Three cadets of Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) here are facing investigation for allegedly demanding oral sex from 2 freshmen.

The freshmen claimed that one of the 3 upperclassmen instructed them to perform the sexual act at the back of the plebes' barracks last October 6 as punishment for several violations, PNPA director Chief Supt. Joseph Adnol said.

The other 2 upperclassmen allegedly watched while the incident occurred.

Plebes may be punished for violations through squats and push-ups, but not in the form of sexual acts, said Adnol.

He also noted that only freshmen and their authorized mentors are allowed to enter the plebes' barracks.

The suspects are facing an administrative case and a criminal charge of hazing. They have been placed in isolation at the PNPA, Adnol said.

PNP chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said he has ordered the dismissal of the trio if investigation proves they were guilty of demanding the sexual act.

Philippine Public Safety College President Ricardo De Leon, meanwhile, condemned the act as unbecoming of an officer.

"That is not tolerated... Nakakahiya ang scandal na yan," he said.

(That is an embarrassing scandal.)
