MAYNILA - Naghahanda na ang lungsod ng Calapan, Oriental Mindoro sa posibleng pagpasok ng oil spill sa karagatan nito.
Ayon kay Calapan City Mayor Marilou Morillo, hindi pa apektado ang lungsod sa nangyaring oil spill sa Naujan, Oriental Mindoro noong Pebrero.
Pero mayroon na umanong preventive plans ang Calapan at maraming volunteers sa paghahanda sa posibleng apekto ng oil spill. Ani Morillo, may mga rumoronda sa dagat na nakapalibot sa lungsod upan tingnan ang sitwasyon.
Dagdag niya, naghanda ng mga floater ang LGU upang harangin ang posibleng pagkalat ng langis.
