MANILA -- A low pressure area (LPA) is expected to bring rains to parts of Luzon on Monday, February 20, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its latest public weather forecast, PAGASA said the low pressure was last seen 195 km north of Legazpi City, Albay or 210 km east of Infanta, Quezon.

The LPA and a shear line may bring about cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms to Bicol Region, Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Northern Samar.

This means flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy with at times intense rains are possible in these areas.

Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, and MIMAROPA will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

The rest of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Norte, meanwhile, will face cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon or amihan.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains
