MANILA - An animal welfare group on Thursday appealed to the public for vehicles to transport rescued animals and volunteers as Taal Volcano continues to rumble.

Transportation is also needed for rescued horses, she added. Only 30 out of some 3,000 horses on Taal Volcano island have so far been rescued, according to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society.

Panaglima said the group has rescued animals from Lemery, Taal, Tanauan, Bauan in Batangas, and were sent to shelters in Laguna, Cavite, and Nasugbu and Sto. Tomas in Batangas.
