CHED Chairman Prospero De Vera advised administrators of higher education institutions to consult students and find out their concerns and limitations.

"'Yong eskuwelahan kapag dinisenyo niya 'yong bagong semestre under the new normal, dapat nakikipag-usap sa inyo," De Vera said over radio DZMM, addressing a student from Adamson University.

De Vera said consultation with students was also a part of flexible learning, the style of education which the CHED recommended for the upcoming academic year.

Flexible learning combines online learning with traditional learning and other offline methods such as take-home readings and activities.

De Vera added that the commission has been helping colleges and universities in adjusting for flexible learning.

"Tinutulungan natin ang teachers, tine-train natin sila kung paano baguhin ang kanilang syllabus, paano ang materyales," he said.

De Vera earlier said colleges and universities implementing flexible learning mode may start the next academic year in August or earlier months.
