But now, it will be revived as a team representing the nation will adopt the nickname for their participation in the Asia 7's Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from October 9 to 12.

The Asia 7's, established in 2022, has quickly become the premier 7-a-side football tournament in Asia.

At least eight teams, including Malaysia, India, Japan, China, Brunei, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines, have already confirmed their participation, with five more teams expected to join.

Coach Hamed Hajimedhedi announced that tryouts will be held on September 7 and 8, 2024. A tune-up match against celebrity football players is also scheduled for October 6, with the final team roster expected to be announced before the exhibition game.
