Following their victory over the University of the Philippines in December 2023, the 6-foot-6 Muntinlupa native has been very busy. Quiambao played for Strong Group Athletics in Dubai in January, and also suited up for Gilas Pilipinas in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers a month later.

This resulted in KQ getting a lot of other opportunities, with the versatile forward receiving an offer to play for the United Arab Emirates as a naturalized player, a reported chance to suit up for the New York Knicks in the NBA Summer League, as well as possibilities to play in overseas leagues.

He is also out of Topex Robinson’s line-up for the Green Archers team that is competing in the PBA D-League, and this sparked more questions about whether he will still be donning DLSU’s kits next year.

Fortunately, the Lasallian community’s fears can now be eased no other than Quiambao himself assured that he is to stay in Taft Avenue for Season 87.

“After countless days and weeks of praying and weighing on what's best for me and my family, I've decided to fulfill my promise for DLSU and the Lasallian Community,” he penned on his social media account.

“To God be the Glory. Animo #S87,” he continued

The defending UAAP and D-League champions are currently unbeaten in three games in the Aspirants Cup, and leading the team are Mike Phillips and Jonnel Policarpio.

The Archers are also set to compete in the FilOil EoOil Preseason Cup later over the summer, and that is when Quiambao is expected to rejoin DLSU.

Quiambao's presence for La Salle will also be as vital as ever come Season 87 as the Green Archers look to retain the crown in Vito Cruz.
