MANILA -- Kean Baclaan has jumped ship once more.

Baclaan has bid farewell to the National University and is taking his talents to UAAP Season 86 defending champion De La Salle University.

"Animo!" Baclaan posted on X (formerly Twitter), confirming the development.

The 5-foot-8 guard is expected to reunite with his childhood friend, Season 86 Most Valuable Player and Finals MVP Kevin Quiambao, but he will still need to watch from the sidelines to serve his one-year residency before donning the green and white jersey.

Baclaan and NU entered the Final Four last season as third seed with a 10-4 card, but eventually lost to the rampaging Quiambao-led La Salle which had a winning streak by then.

He had averages of 10.73 points, 4.8 assists, and 4.53 rebounds per game in his sophomore stint with the Bulldogs.

Baclaan is the second high-profile guard to transfer to La Salle in recent weeks, after the Green Archers landed former San Beda star Jacob Cortez.
