BORONGAN CITY -- Around 100 surfers from 17 areas in the Philippines are in Borongan for the the last leg of the Philippine Championship Tours, which started last Sunday.
BORONGAN CITY -- Around 100 surfers from 17 areas in the Philippines are in Borongan for the the last leg of the Philippine Championship Tours, which started last Sunday.
The national surfing competition, which runs until December 20, is organized by the Surf Riders Club of Eastern Samar and aims to promote the city’s long coastline at Baybay Boulevard among surfing enthusiasts.

Among the surfers competing the national surfing event are the medalists of the recently concluded Southeast Asian Games held in La Union, including Medalists Nilbie Blancada, flag bearer and viral hero Roger Casogay, Ikit Agudo, JR Esquivel, Daizy Valdez, John Mark Tokong and Piso Alcala.
