MANILA, Philippines -- CJ Isit finished what JP Calvo started in the first quarter as Team A-2 overwhelmed Team A-3, 76-64, to rule the mini-tournament that highlighted the 2018 PBA Draft Combine on Thursday at the Gatorade Hoops Center.

Calvo, the former Colegio de San Juan de Letran point guard, set the tone by scoring 11 of his team-high 23 points in the opening frame.

Big shots from Teytey Teodoro allowed Team A-3 to draw closer, with the former Jose Rizal University guard knocking down a booming three-pointer that made it a 4-point game, 55-51, with 7:45 to play.

But Matt Salem came through with a lay-up and a triple, before Isit put the finishing touches on their win with a deep three-pointer that restored a double-digit advantage, 68-56, with three minutes left. His and-1 with 2:48 to go put them ahead, 71-56.
