It was also the Altas' third win in a row after a heartbreaking 25-18, 29-27, 23-25, 27-29, 10-15 loss to San Beda last November 20.

"We didn't let that loss affect us, because we're focused on making it to the Final Four," said Perpetual Help coach Sammy Acaylar.

Letran has now dropped to 1-4.

In the juniors' division, defending champion Perpetual Help bucked Letran's upset try to come away with a 21-25, 25-14, 25-11, 25-14 victory that kept them in third place with a 3-1 record.

Emilio Aguinaldo College (4-0) and Lyceum of the Philippines University (3-0) are leading the way in the juniors.

In the women's division, Perpetual Help downed Letran, 29-27, 15-15, 25-21, to improve to 3-2 and boost their Final 4 bid.
