Wong had also ruled the event in the 2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur and won bronze in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Daniel Parantac of the Philippines settled for the bronze medal in the men’s taijiquan. He performed first, and garnered a score of 9.56.
