UAAP finals: UP’s Bright Akhuetie returns to game after exiting on a stretcher

(UPDATE) Bright Akhuetie returned to the floor early in the fourth quarter after being stretchered out in the third in Game 1 of the UAAP Season 81 men's basketball finals on Saturday.

He re-entered the game at the 7:04 mark of the fourth.

The game was halted 6:31 left in the third after Akhuetie hurt his knee in an apparent accidental collision with Ateneo's Angelo Kouame.

A few minutes after being treated in the dugout, Akhuetie went back to the court.

He sat on the bench with a bag of ice applied on his left knee.

As per UP's team doctor, the medical staff is still assessing the injury. He said it was a hyperextended left knee
