Members of the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons got a morale boost from none other than fighting Senator Manny Pacquiao in their UAAP basketball finals clash against the Ateneo Blue Eagles.
According to his photographer Wendell Alinea, Pacquiao promised to take the whole team to Las Vegas for his world welterweight title defense if the Fighting Maroons upset the defending champions.
Pacquiao is scheduled to take on Adrien "The Problem" Broner on January 19.
The fight is seen as a "tuneup" for his supposed rematch against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
