MANILA, Philippines ā€“ Two former players of University of Santo Tomas (UST) have bared their intentions to return to the Growling Tigers, almost immediately after it was announced that head coach Boy Sablan was leaving the team.

Renzo Subido and Embons Bonleon, who did not play for UST in Season 80 for various reasons, tweeted on Tuesday that they both want to play for the Tigers once more.

Bonleon, who was dissatisfied with the playing time he got under Sablan, also answered in the affirmative when a fan asked if he and Subido intended to return.

Both Bonleon and Subido played in the PBA D-League, albeit for two different teams, during their gap year from UST.

Sablan quit as UST's head coach after two disappointing seasons with the team, where the Growling Tigers won only four games.

In his place, Arsenio Dysangco, an assistant coach for the UST women's team, is running the team's practices.
