(UPDATED) Romeo Travis torched Barangay Ginebra with 50 points as the Magnolia Hotshots booted out the Gin Kings from title contention 112-108 in the PBA Governors Cup semifinals at Ynares Center-Antipolo Friday night.

Despite playing hurt, the hulking Magnolia import shot 20-out-of-24 from the field and hauled 13 rebounds while helping the Hotshots conclude their Manila Clasico pairing with the erstwhile defending champions.

Also impressive was Paul Lee who struggled early in the match but made it up by sinking the crucial free throws toward the end. He finished with 11 points.

With the victory, Magnolia punctuated their best-of-5 semis showdown with Ginebra, 3-1.

The Kings led by 10 early in the second half, but the Hotshots patiently chipped the advantage away until the lead came swinging back and forth in the final period.

Ginebra was still in the thick if the fight in the final 1:44 following Justin brownlee's free throws, 106-101.

But a 9-0 run by the Hotshots had the Kings reeling, 110-106, with only 23 seconds remaining.

Brownlee's floater in the last 15 seconds was Ginebra final hurrah, but Lee dashed all of the Kings' hopes by sinking 2 pressure-packed free throws.

Brownlee finished with 32 points, while Japeth Aguilar added 25 in Ginebra's final game this season.

The scores:

Magnolia 112 - Travis 50, Sangalang 14, Lee 11, Jalalon 9, Herndon 8, Barroca 8, Simon 6, Dela Rosa 4, Reavis 2, Melton 0, Brondial 0.
