MANILA, Philippines – Allyn Bulanadi's final season in the NCAA ended earlier than he would have liked, as San Sebastian College succumbed to Colegio de San Juan de Letrans, 85-80, in the first phase of the Season 95 stepladder semifinals.

Bulanadi struggled in his final collegiate game, going just 5-of-17 from the field as the Letran defense keyed on him. It was guard RK Ilagan who carried the Stags' offense, firing 36 points to keep them in the game.

"Sobrang hirap. Kaunti lang ata score ko eh," said Bulanadi, who led the NCAA in scoring this year before being shackled by the Knights in their knockout game. "Buti na lang andyan si RK."

"Pero wala, kinapos talaga. Kasi ewan ko, ilan nagro-rotate sa akin. Pagkalingon ko, kaliwa't kanan, andyan 'yung tao eh. 'Yun lang siguro. Hirap, mahirap 'yung depensa," he admitted.

Still, Bulanadi believes they had a good run in Season 95. The Stags returned to the Final 4 after missing out last year, putting together an 11-7 win-loss record. Bulanadi, in particular, had an impressive year. The versatile swingman averaged 20.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game.

He recorded a career-high 44 points against University of Perpetual Help last October 18, firing them to a 99-94 win that sealed their Final 4 berth.

"At least na-prove namin na 'yung kakayanan namin, hanggang dito," said Bulanadi.

With his NCAA career now over, Bulanadi will report to the Basilan team in the MPBL. He has also declared for the PBA Rookie Draft, as well.

"Goal ko 'yun," Bulanadi said of the PBA. "Sinabihan ko na 'yung manager ko, 'yung Basilan na baka ilang games lang ang malalaro ko sa kanila. Ibubuhos ko naman lahat, 'yun ang promise ko."

"Siyempre, 'yung goal ko, suporta naman sila na papa-draft ako sa PBA," he added.

Bulanadi took the NCAA by storm with his high-scoring ways this year, but he acknowledged that he has plenty to work on if he wants to make a mark in the PBA as well.

"Siyempre, ibang level na 'yung competition doon. More on set plays sila, tapos malalaki 'yung katawan," he said.

"Siguro, papalaki lang ako ng katawan nang kaunti, tapos preparation lang, mentally," he added.
