There's no exact science as to what gets upvoted and downvoted on the social-news aggregation and discussion site Reddit.

With that in mind, it's difficult to say then how a 1995 video showing world billiards icon Efren "Bata" Reyes working on a trick shot got its waveback-weekend moment on the said site on Saturday.

Using words to describe how jaw-dropping Reyes' execution was at Sands Regency Open in Reno, Nevada, 23 years ago, won't do it justice, but the stunt now famously called the "Z shot" is considered "the most famous shot in pool history."

Apparently, the bunny that the so-called "Magician" pulled out of his hat still resonates with pool fans to this day.

User "rathmec" said: "Imagine being so good at your craft that the only possible explanation people can come up with is that you're using actual magic."

User "CrackerGuy" said: "Any Efren Reyes video is a click for me because I know it will be incredibly impressive and entertaining."

User "suicidalundead" echoed the sentiment of one of the announcers: "That's why they call him the Magician."
