June Mar Fajardo lifts his fourth PBA Most Valuable Player trophy. Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News
San Miguel Beer’s prized big man June Mar Fajardo made history by becoming the first player in PBA history to nab 4 consecutive Most Valuable Player citations during the Leo Awards ceremony held at Araneta Coliseum on Friday.
The 6-foot-11 Cebuano slotman joined PBA greats Alvin Patrimonio and former Beerman Ramon Fernandez as the league's only 4-time MVP winners.
But unlike Patrimonio and Fernandez, Fajardo was a consistent winner of the MVP plum for 4 straight years.
Besides nabbing the league's premier individual award, Fajardo was also included in this year’s First Mythical Team together with fellow Beermen Chris Ross, Alex Cabagnot and Arwind Santos, as well as Barangay Ginebra’s Japeth Aguilar.

The Second Mythical Team is composed of TNT’s Jayson Castro and Kelly Williams, Ginebra’s LA Tenorio and Joe Devance, and Meralco’s Cliff Hodge.
Fajardo is also part of the all-defensive team together with Ross, Aguilar, Star’s Jio Jalalon and Rain or Shine’s Gabe Norwood.
TNT’s RR Pogoy was named the season’s rookie of the year, while Ross was adjudged most improved.
Norwood took home the Samboy Lim Sportsmanship award.
