MANILA, Philippines – University of the Philippines (UP) secured a legal victory on Wednesday, when they were awarded a preliminary injunction that will allow Rob Ricafort to play for the rest of the UAAP Season 80.

Coach Bo Perasol informed reporters that they received the injunction, ensuring that Ricafort will be able to play and that all the games where he saw action will not be forfeited.

Ricafort was initially declared ineligible by the UAAP eligibility committee and the Board of Trustees, because he will breach the league's age limit in January – months after the basketball tournament is over.

UP and Ricafort were able to secure a TRO that allowed him to see action for UP for the next 20 days. Ricafort has averaged 0.5 point, 1.0 rebound, 0.5 assist, 0.3 steals, and 0.5 turnovers in just 5.5 minutes per game.
