MANILA - The Magnolia Hotshots piled on the woes of the Alaska Aces with a 95-90 triumph in the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup, Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Ian Sangalang had 19 points and 10 rebounds as the Hotshots racked up their third win in a row to improve to 3-1 in the season-ending conference.

The Hotshots had to stave off a last-ditch rally by Alaska, as the Aces trimmed the deficit to four points, 94-90, with still 61 seconds to go off a jumper by import Frank House. He was also fouled by Mark Barroca on the play, but could not complete the and-1.

Barroca and Romeo Travis missed buckets in Magnolia's next possession, but they also got a stop on House with 34 seconds left, and a split at the line by Paul Lee eventually iced the win for the Hotshots.
