CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY - Olympic table tennis player Ian Lariba was laid to rest in Cagayan de Oro City on Monday afternoon.

Lariba lost her battle with leukemia last September 2. She was 23 years old.

Lariba was the Philippines' flag bearer in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.

She was part of the table tennis team of De La Salle University and was named University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 74 Rookie of the Year.

She was named Most Valuable Player in Seasons 75, 77 and 78 and was feted as UAAP Athlete of the Year in Seasons 77 and 78.
