Asian Games: Margielyn Didal claims gold in skateboarding

The Philippines has yet another golden girl in Indonesia. 

Athlete Margielyn Didal barely broke a sweat to rule the women's street skateboard competition at the 2018 Asian Games on Wednesday, securing the country's fourth gold medal.

Didal topped the competition with 30.4 points, ahead of silver medalist Kaya Isa of Japan who had 25.0 points and Bunga Nyimas of host country Indonesia, 19.8.

With Didal's victory, the Philippines improved its medal tally to 4 golds and 13 bronze medals.

Didal followed the footsteps of weightlifters Hidilyn Diaz and golfers Lois Kaye Go, Bianca Pagdanganan, and Yuka Saso in reaching the top podium in the Asiad.
