MANILA, Philippines – NLEX guard Mac Cardona has been transferred to the Makati Medical Center and his condition is improving, team manager Ronald Dulatre said in a statement on Wednesday.

Cardona was rushed to the intensive care unit of the University of Perpetual Help in Las Piñas last Sunday after overdosing on pills in an apparent attempt to commit suicide.

Dulatre said Cardona was transferred to Makati Medical Center on Monday midnight.

"His condition is improving, but he cannot yet accept visitors as advised by his doctors," Dulatre also said.
