PRETORIA - All Star Philadelphia 76ers centre Joel Embiid scored 24 points but could not inspire Team Africa to victory over Team World as they slipped to a 96-92 defeat in the NBA Africa Game played at a raucous Sun Arena in Pretoria on Saturday.

Los Angeles Clippers small forward Danilo Gallinari led the scoring for Team World with 23 points, as well as eight rebounds and three assists, that earned him the most valuable player award. They made it a hat-trick of wins in the exhibition fixture after previous successes in 2015 and last year.
