Floyd Mayweather is expected to be at ringside when Manny Pacquiao challenges Keith Thurman for the WBA (super) welterweight belt on Saturday in Las Vegas (Sunday in Manila).

Leonard Ellerbe, the chief executive of Mayweather Promotions, confirmed as much when Pacquiao and Thurman made their grand arrival in Las Vegas earlier Wednesday (Manila time).

"Yes, Floyd will be at ringside to watch the fight," Ellerbe said.

Mayweather has been mostly quiet about the Pacquiao-Thurman bout, but him showing up in a Pacquiao fight is nothing new. The unbeaten American star also watched Pacquiao's bout against Adrien Broner in January, and was called out by the Filipino boxer after his win.

While Mayweather has not given his thoughts about the upcoming bout, Ellerbe had no such reservations.

Ellerbe, a known confidante of Mayweather, said he expects an "explosive fight" between Pacquiao and Thurman.

"You got both guys, I think, will be coming into the fight looking for a knockout," he said. "I expect to see a knockout."

While he did not predict a winner, Ellerbe did give Pacquiao the advantage in terms of experience, while pointing out that Thurman has youth on his side.

"It's gonna be a great fight," Ellerbe said.
