It looks like Kobe Paras won't be playing for the UCLA Bruins.

This after the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) released a statement indicating that the Filipino basketball sensation withdrew from the university due to "academic requirements."

"Incoming freshman guard Kobe Paras, admitted upon condition to UCLA, has withdrawn from the university due to academic conditions of his admission not being met," said the statement from the UCLA Athletics Communications.

Paras, son of former PBA Most Valuable Player Benjie Paras, has been a UCLA-commit for more than two years.

He is supposed to start his collegiate career in the US NCAA Division I.

Before committing to UCLA, Paras attended Cathedral High School and played for the Middlebrooks Academy Team.
