ONE Championship is staging its official return next month.

"We're back. 31 July. Bangkok," the Asian-based MMA promotion said in a teaser posted on Facebook.

ONE chairman Chatri Sityodtong said its live broadcast on that day would be held at a fan-less venue to prevent COVID-19 infections.

The last time it staged an official MMA card was in February, ONE: King of the Jungle, in a closed-door setting in Singapore.

This was shortly before COVID-19 became a pandemic that halted all sporting events around the globe.

Prior to ONE Championship's teaser, the promotion also held two minor events in Shanghai last week.

ONE Hero Series 13 and 14 were held on June 20 and 21 also in a spectator-less environment.
