All-Filipino DotA 2 team TNC Predator fell in the lower-bracket playoffs of the ESL One Birmingham 2019 in England on Saturday.

The Filipino group consists of Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte, Armel Paul "Armel" Tabios, Carlo "Kuku” Palad, Timothy "Tims" Randrup, and Nico "eyyou" Barcelon.

TNC fought hard but fell short against Europe-based Team Secret 2-1 in a best-of-3 series in the first leg of the lower-bracket playoffs.

Team Secret fired up midway through Game 1 and clobbered TNC to take first blood.

TNC forced a rubber match with its own romping, raking in kills to upset Team Secret with 21 kills to 2, but succumbed ultimately in Game 3.

Twelve squads with the highest number of points in the DotA Pro Circuit earned in major and minor tournaments this year will have the chance to secure a spot in The International 2019, the biggest DOTA event organized by Valve, the game's developers.

Among those assured of a spot is Fnatic, which parades 2 Filipino players.

TNC will try to cement its place in The International in the Epicenter Major, the last major tournament in the Pro Circuit to be held in Moscow.
