MANILA, Philippines – Barangay Ginebra honored one of the greatest teams in the franchise's history when they wore retro jerseys to their 2017 PBA Commissioner's Cup game on Sunday against Meralco at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The Gin Kings wore the classic red-and-white threads of the 1991 Ginebra team that became the first PBA squad to ever battle back from a 1-3 series deficit in the first conference of that season.

Bannered by Robert Jaworski, Ginebra stunned Formula Shell in that series, capped by the game-winning – and championship-clinching – jumper of Rudy Distrito in Game 7.
