University of Santo Tomas is the overall champion of UAAP Season 81, officials announced during an awards ceremony at Mall of Asia Arena on Tuesday.

It is UST's third straight general championship and 43rd overall in the seniors division.

The España based institution also won the overall title in juniors play, its fifth in a row.

The Tigresses tallied 279 points across all sports, winning gold in both men's and women's divisions in beach volleyball, judo and table tennis.

All 8 participating schools earn points based on how they rank in a specific sport.

La Salle placed second, while Ateneo and University of the Philippines followed.
