After signing with Manny Pacquiao's MP Promotions, Mark Magsayo was counting on a huge boost in his professional career.

But COVID-19 happened, and he became one of the many pro boxers sidelined from fighting because of the lockdown.

Magsayo said he hopes things would return to normal once the government eases its restrictions.

He made a public call through social media to help convince the government to allow private gyms to resume operations.

He said it would mean a lot not only to him, but also to other fighters whose livelihood depends on the sport.
