WATCH: Gervacio unloads wicked facial against Alyssa

MANILA, Philippines – In a battle between former Ateneo de Manila University stars, Dzi Gervacio fired a stunning volley when she unloaded a vicious facial on Alyssa Valdez in their game of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference Sunday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Valdez and the rest of the Creamline Cool Smashers were trailing 8-13 in the opening set when Gervacio fired the sharp kill that hit Valdez straight on her face.

The three-time UAAP MVP took her time getting up and appeared hurt by the smash, although she would shake it off and lead the Cool Smashers to a come-from-behind win against the Perlas Spikers in Set 1, 25-23.

Gervacio and Valdez played together for two years in Ateneo, helping the Lady Eagles advance to the Finals in UAAP Seasons 74 and 75.
