MANILA, Philippines -- ONE Championship has postponed all of its events for May, chairman Chatri Sityodtong announced, as they continue to grapple with the impact of the novel coronavirus.

On Facebook, Sityodtong said that all May events are "postponed until further notice due to the recent COVID-19 developments."

This includes border closings and lockdowns in countries across Asia.

Among the postponed events is the ONE Infinity 2 card, originally scheduled for May 29 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Brandon Vera was set to headline the fight card against Arjan Bhullar of Canada in a defense of his ONE world heavyweight championship.

"Our highest priority remains the safety and health of our athletes, officials, staff, fans, and the public during these challenging times," Sityodtong said. "My team and I are working around the clock on multiple options to bring back our events as soon as safely possible."

ONE Championship had already been forced to postpone its events in April, which would have taken place behind closed doors in Singapore.
