San Beda took the general championship in both the seniors and juniors divisions in the 92nd season of the NCAA, making it two years in a row that they have lorded over the oldest collegiate league in the Philippines.

The Red Lions finished with a total of 683 points in the seniors division, just 37 points ahead of their closest pursuer, De La Salle-College of St. Benilde (647 points).

Championships in men's basketball, men's and women's swimming, chess, men's football, women's soft tennis, men's taekwondo, and women's table tennis made it possible for San Beda to secure a second consecutive overall crown.

However, San Beda officials are as proud of their respectable finishes in other sports, especially in events where they are not generally considered as contenders.

Lacson was especially delighted with San Beda's Final 4 appearance in the women's volleyball tournament, and their runner-up finish in women's beach volleyball.

A second place finish in the track-and-field event secured San Beda's fourth straight overall juniors crown, and 13th overall. The victory allowed them to become the winningest juniors program with 13 general championships, just ahead of La Salle Greenhills' 12.

In third place in the juniors division was Letran (352.5), followed by Lyceum (278), EAC (271.5), La Salle Greenhills (244), San Sebastian (229), Perpetual Help (188), JRU (102.5), and Mapua (102).
