MANILA – San Beda University earned a breakthrough championship in NCAA beach volleyball on Saturday, as twins Marie Jeziela and Marie Nieza Viray ruled the Season 93 tournament at Subic Bay in Zambales.

Runners-up for the past two seasons, the Viray twins finally emerged on top this year as they beat Emilio Aguinaldo's Jaylene May Lumbo and Glyka Mariz Medina, 21-7, 21-10, to claim their first ever crown.

Meanwhile, the EAC pair of Paolo Cezar Lim and Joshua Mina edged Perpetual Help's Joebert Almodiel and Rey Taneo with a come-from-behind 17-21, 21-17, 15-13 win to earn their first men's crown.
