MANILA, Philippines – Three-time champion RC Cola-Army looks to rack up a third consecutive win when it clashes against the New San Jose Builders in the 2016 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Invitational Conference Tuesday at the Alonte Sports Arena in Biñan.

Army takes on San Jose at 4 p.m., with the Lady Troopers looking to close their first round campaign on a high note.

In the second game scheduled at 6 p.m., F2 Logistics and Foton will take on each other with both teams targeting their second victories of the tournament.

After notching a pair of three-set wins over Foton and F2 Logistics, RC Cola-Army has solidified its reputation as the team to beat, thanks to a veteran roster that also features star spikers Jovelyn Gonzaga and Rachel Anne Daquis.

Army head coach Kungfu Reyes, however, insists that his team remains a work in progress even after they cruised past the Cargo Movers, 25-22, 25-12, 25-19, over the weekend at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center.

"Volleyball is a never-ending learning process," said Reyes. "You have to study your opponent and yourself as well."

Reyes is wary of the San Jose Builders, who are composed of players from the NCAA.

"They are young, aggressive, and very eager to win," said Reyes. "So we have to double our effort and prepare against them because our game wouldn't be easy."

After dropping their first two matches to F2 Logistics and Foton, San Jose Builders coach Ken Moleno said his wards remain in high spirits and are eager to pull off an upset of the league favorites.

"We trained long and hard last Sunday," he said. "The girls are all hungry and eager to win."

"They want to upset Army because doing so will be a major achievement, something that will inspire them when they return to the NCAA next year," he added. "We know it won't be easy, but we'll do our very best to win."

Moleno is pinning his hopes on University of Perpetual Help standouts Lourdes Clemente, Coleen Bravo, Jamela Suyat and Cindy Imbo, as well as Maribeth Laro of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas and Arnie Yumul of Emilio Aguinaldo College.
