Wondering how to get your hands on a pair of "Air Binay" sneakers which recently trended on social media?

It turns out that they're part of a free education package of Makati City.

In a statement Wednesday, the city government said around 90,000 public school students have received a free pair of running shoes, along with black shoes, school uniforms, and school supplies under the education package.

"Bahagi lamang ito ng mahigit P2.8 bilyon na inilaang pondo ng pamahalaang lungsod para sa mga programa at serbisyong pang-edukasyon sa lahat ng antas, kasama ang halos P700 milyong badyet para sa Project FREE sa school year 2018-2019," the city government said.

Mandaluyong has also launched its own sneakers, the so-called "Air Abalos" shoes.
