MANILA, Philippines – Not even an hour after winning a second consecutive NCAA women's volleyball championship, Arellano University coach Obet Javier was already thinking of how the Lady Chiefs can complete a "three-peat."

Arellano ruled the NCAA Season 93 women's volleyball tournament after sweeping San Beda University in the best-of-3 finals, capped by a sweep of the Lady Red Spikers in Game 2.

For Javier, their title – Arellano's third championship in four seasons – was proof that their program was rising to great heights after being in the shadows of more storied schools such as San Sebastian College and University of Perpetual Help.

While Regine Arocha sealed Finals MVP honors for her 15-point, 12-dig effort in Game 2, Arellano's veterans also had their shining moments in the game.

Jovielyn Prado, last season's Finals MVP, matched Arocha with 15 points of her own on top of 11 excellent receptions. Middle blocker Andrea Marzan was a force at the net, with five of her eight points coming from kills blocks. Skipper Anne Esguerra had seven points, including the match-winner.

With a third straight title in mind, Javier is giving his players just a week to celebrate their achievement in the NCAA. He expects to return to work in the first week of March, as they begin to prepare for the club season.
