The Sacramento Kings have traded All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans in a blockbuster deal, according to multiple media reports.

Adrian Wojnarowski reported just a few minutes after the NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans that the Kings have agreed to send Cousins to the Pelicans, where he will team up with newly minted All-Star Game MVP Anthony Davis in a towering frontcourt.

In exchange, the Pelicans will send Buddy Hield – the sixth pick of the 2016 NBA Rookie Draft – along with Tyreke Evans, a 2017 first round pick, and a 2017 second round pick to the Kings.

It will be a homecoming of sorts for Evans, who was drafted by the Kings with the fourth pick of the 2009 draft and won Rookie of the Year honors in 2010.

Also included in the deal is Langston Galloway, although Wojnarowski reported he will be likely be waived.

A separate report by Shams Charania indicated that Omri Casspi will also be sent to New Orleans as part of the deal for Cousins.

Cousins has been having a career-year, averaging 27.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game for the Kings.
