MANILA, Philippines – After opening its campaign in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup with four consecutive blowout losses, Mila's Lechon has decided to withdraw from the league.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial on Monday granted the request of Mila's Lechon management to disband its basketball team.

In a meeting with PBA technical head Eric Castro on Monday, team owner Aika Salanguit cited internal problems as a reason for dissolving the team.

However, Mila's Lechon still intends to join the next conference with a better roster.

The Mighty Roasters were barely competitive in their first four games, which they lost by an average margin of 26.25 points.

The final straw was their brutal 102-55 shellacking at the hands of Zark's Burger-Lyceum of the Philippines University last Thursday. After that loss, the team's coaching staff was summoned to the league office, as well as the players themselves.

Because of this development, the wins of Jose Rizal University, University of Perpetual Help, Gamboa Coffee Mix-St. Clare College, and Zark's-Lyceum over the Mighty Roasters have been nullified.
